Our local little league team, Petaluma National, has been tearing it up in the west regional little league tournament. If they win today, they go on to the LLWS. My twin boys played with most of these kids a couple of years ago. As the sport became more competitive, they bowed out. These are really great kids and the coaches are terrific. In fact, one of the coaches called us the season we didn't re-sign-up to make sure everything was ok.

So if you happen to be watching on ESPN, root for the Petaluma Nationals!

Team won their last game yesterday. They're headed to the world series!

Good luck to all Little Leagers. I enjoy watching their games a lot more than them whiny multimillion dollar players.
Spent a few years coaching. I had to learn the game AND the rules. I wasn't much into sports as a kid myself.

I will be there. Never been before, but I imagine it will be cool to watch from above.

Another win today! Petaluma plays Saturday for the US title. Winner faces the international team on Sunday.

I'ver watched them 2 or three games now. They are good ball players and there ain't no quit in them.

Williamsport is in my backyard. I was there Sunday to watch a game... Pretty cool place to go to...food is good and reasonable.. Good times!

It's a great experience!!! Took the Delaware team through the mid-atlantic regionals and to the world series play in 2003. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, the kids or me having the chance to share it with my brother who was the manager.

We got bounced out by Texas in world series play, finished with a 1-2 record but it was one of those runs that you'll never forget.

Good luck Petaluma!!

Ought to be a great game! Those boys from Japan look tough!! I'll be flying this afternoon, so I may miss today's games, but I've got the recliner reserved for tomorrow's game!:D

I took this picture earlier in the week, when we were there flying for the games. Interesting place for sure.

The teams are ready to take the field. Go Southeast! But above all, for both teams, have fun and savor the moment.

Great pre-game story about the team from Uganda.

I said they had no quit in them. They just made up a 10 run defecit in the bottom of the 6th. WOW!!!!!!

I got home, assumed it was over, then saw a post on Facebook that it was still on and got to watch the 7th inning! :D:goofy: What a finish! I love watching this age group play, they really understand the game. I don't some of the LL rules, but it's the only league that gets televised. ;)

24-16 is more like a football score than a baseball score but there were some great plays. Record number of homeruns. Record number of RBIs by one Tn ball playr (3 HR and 9 RBIs).
An exciting game.
