Step 3. Oh for the love of all that is holy. If man were meant to be awake at this hour God would have given us roosters or. Wait that didn't make sense. Ack! It is too early to make sense.

That is the time I get up every morning. I am finishing up at the gym now on the stationary bike.

Step 4. Fly to Florida. that's where all the good avatars are.

Interesting fact: in any process, step four is always "go to Florida"
You can check if you don't believe me. Baking a cake, cooking a bald eagle, etc.

Most of your selfies are a little north of there.

I'd hate to see your Facebook page, it's probably full of pics of every dump you take.

That HAS to be HARD EIGHT.

I LOVE THEIR FOOD.

Find - don't find - give up finding - who cares? Just eat good food, and live well.

Step 6. Identify subject

No kidding.the seller is John trovaltas next door neighbor.
Wilkin get a pic shortly

Wait... you're removing that very nice airplane from one of the best airparks in the country and bringing it back to the hangars here????

How cruel cool!!!

Picked her up this morning and flew from Jumbolair to New Orleans to Dallas.

The learning curve is pretty steep but it flies very well.
Relative to what I have been flying, this thing is pretty dang fast.

High 170s - low 180s today which presents new challenges.

My dad and I both really had an awesome weekend and are working on wrapping our heads around energy management which is far more important than in the past.

So I mentioned the neighbor.
When we pulled into the park, I commented on how wide he runway was and off in the distance, I saw this large jet.

As we drove past, I realized where we were.
I always thought he lived in California.
So John Travolta has this 707 and Leer.

The 707 used to be Frank Sanitra's but is actually no longer airworthy and sort of just dying here now.

A closer shot.

That is awesome. Enjoy every second.

You've made a lot of pilots here incredibly envious.

Bryan, N707JT has had her challenges, but I don't think she's unairworthy (unless something just happened). Registration is current http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/NNum_Results.aspx?NNumbertxt=707JT and he still has her blocked on FlightAware.

There were some apparently serious structural issues with the tail, for which replacement parts had to be custom-fabricated, but clearly she was repaired because she flew from Miami (or wherever she went thereafter) to Jumbolair.

I have read that Travolta expressed the intent to "retire" the plane, but I rather suspect that, if the intent was to permanently retire the aircraft, it would not be done at the airpark.

Then again, maybe your seller and John are as tight as you and Ed are fixin' to be, and knows more! :D

Oh, all that info was just the neighbor talking. He mentioned the fabricated part, and it not fitting so it was made again and still didn't fit, then the lawsuits. He was under the impression the plane was done flying. Chalk it up to hear say at this point. He said they entertain each other (dinners, parties, etc) but I don't know how close they are.

P.S.
Nobody will be as close as Edfred and I.

Thanks and I understand.

I wish I was able to contribute more to my personal flying situation.
I am in an incredibly fortunate situation with my dad wanting to fly with me and being able to do things that I would otherwise not be able to do at this level.

I shall not take it for granted.

Wait a minute - now that 6PC has access to something with a sophisticated autopilot, doesn't that mean he'll have more time to whore it up in POA in the air?

(Seriously nice ride!)

Nice ride! Gen 2? It's not turbo or am I wrong?

I don't know what it is. All I know is it is full of magic and it is a M-effer to land.

Kidding. Actually it is a gen 2 But no, it is not turbo.
Going from a 100 kt trainer to this was pretty humbling.

I have so much to learn not only about the plane but improving my ability to focus on more things at once while at the same time using much more finesse to fly the plane while keeping the rest in focus.

I am going to master this machine but it is going to be a challenge.
