Had an old hardcover book, can't recall the name but it was by two photographers who showcased large classic prop transports (DC-6, C119, etc.) flying around still doing work in South America, Alaska, etc.
Even though by modern airliner standards even "giants" like the C-97 and Constellation are relatively small by today's standards, but those old machines just had so much presence to them. I do miss them and wish more were kept in airworthy condition to see at airshows, etc. Lots of money though to keep them flying
