The end story on Friday's (9/4/2009) NBC Nightly News is on the New York beach shore banner towers.

They interview a couple of pilots and show how the pickup works.

Brian Williams says "cool."

Update. Oops, I made a direct link. Suck it MSNBC.

Wait a minute... a "feelgood" piece about GA on the mainstream media? No way!! It was great to hear beach-goers talk about the banner planes are an integral part, for them, of hanging out on the beach.

Some great footage there... interesting to see the "old school" method of tossing the hook out the door!

It is not even listed anymore. :(

You have to search now for the story.

At the moment it's on the front page as "Most viewed" but you still can't link to it. The power of POA!

Ya think mebbe someone at MSN/MSNBC will tell them that GA stoires get a lot fo interest so they do more?

Keep in mind this is the SOMEBODY HAS TO DO SOMETHING "Wild west!" area, too. We should let them know that the banner tows are also VFR.
