NYC Banner tow planes on NBC Nightly News

The end story on Friday's (9/4/2009) NBC Nightly News is on the New York beach shore banner towers.

They interview a couple of pilots and show how the pickup works.

Brian Williams says "cool."

Wait a minute... a "feelgood" piece about GA on the mainstream media? No way!! It was great to hear beach-goers talk about the banner planes are an integral part, for them, of hanging out on the beach.

Some great footage there... interesting to see the "old school" method of tossing the hook out the door!
