What does NTF stand for when signing off on inspections?

Not all mechanics went to school or work in repair stations. ;)

The context for why someone wrote NTF would help steer the speculation on its meaning.

I actually felt I should know what NFT meant, I thought I would get some stick for not knowing but this seems to be a good thread. I'm really glad it was not WTF because it concerns an oil filter. Here is the actual statement out of the log:
"OLD FILTER CUT OPEN FOR INSPECTION-NTF" (This filter had 22 hours of use)

This engine went through a couple of pre-buys and everyone cut open the filter so the filter I opened had 21 hours of use. According to Lycoming SB 480F, I placed the engine on corrective action 1, change oil and reinspect system in 25 hours. Maybe a little over the top but this is a new to me aircraft.

Yet the FAA discourages acronyms in log entries.
 
I actual took a pen an paper and wrote the guy a letter to find out what this means. I'm looking forward to a reply but I doubt he'll get back to me.

My friend suggested Noted Titanium Filings. Nobody has seen him since :confused:
 
The IA/owner actually called me today. No trouble found = NTF
