I quite agree. Retsina is nasty. I also thoroughly dislike ouzo. I really enjoyed time spent in Greece years ago, but left thinking the locals had terrible taste in alcoholic drinks.

And liquid clothes remover in general. Tequila caused my civilian clothes to be confiscated for two weeks in Germany. As well as a stay on post restriction. Which wasn't very restrictive, as the 'post' was scattered all over town.
