On Monday 3/14/2011 a bus carrying passengers from NYC to Philadelphia left the roadway and crashed into a bridge abutment near New Brunswick, NJ. The driver who was not wearing his seat belt, and who may have been able to better control the bus had he been, was ejected from the bus and killed. All passengers on the bus were injured and lived except one who was kill at the scene. That passenger was my wife's first cousin Troy Nguyen.

Troy was wonderful young man who was attending college. He was returning from a spring break trip to NYC with a couple of his friends. He was involved in martial arts, was the ring bearer at our wedding and while he was quite a bit older than my youngsters, he was also one of their favorite people to play with the couple of times a year we all got together. In fact he was the one who taught my then five year old how to play video games.

As I mentioned earlier Troy enjoyed martial arts. In doing so he supported the St. Jude's kick-a-thon. Please find attached a card describing how you can support this cause if you are so moved.

May peace and love be with you on your journey.

Sorry for your loss.

As much as I abhorr cumbersome regulation, I believe the supervision of tour-bus and scheduled passenger operations need to be stepped up. Lots of horror stories from folks using those services that connect the various chinatowns along the east coast.

Megabus and Bolt have their problems as well. Right now there is an economic race to the bottom in the interstate bus business. So long as the incentive is to cut costs the accident rates will be unacceptable.

Ahhhh CRAP Arnold that stinks. I am very sorry to hear that please convey my condolences to Thu.

Oh, no.

Arnold, I'm very sorry to hear that. Condolences to you, your wife, and the extended family.

Very sad news. Sorry to hear about it.

Were they on the NJ Turnpike? I was born in New Brunswick, NJ and grew up near there. It seems that would be the way to get from NYC to Philadelphia.

That stinks. My condolences to you and your family.

Too many people I know have lost people lately too. The latest of which was my old boss' mom.

My hope, in Troy's case, is that he didn't suffer and that your family have time to heal.

I was just in New Brunswick a couple of weeks ago. Very sorry to hear about your terrible loss. Prayers are with you and his family.
