En-Route
Sorry Elizabeth, it's hard to believe that spring is right around the corner when this is what I saw day before yesterday.
1. US Air mainline covered in snow. Methinks someone is going to have to deice soon.
2. Our spinner after coming in from Rockland. Boston put a delay program in effect after we had already gotten in the gate, so they ended up vectoring us for close to 40 minutes. (6,000 feet + moderate ice) * 40 minutes = lots of ice.
3. The radome after the above conditions. Produced some interesting interference when we turned the radar on in flight.
4. Snow removal in Boston. They really gang up on the runways.
5.Jet Blue getting deiced.
6. American 777 getting serviced. Notice the rudder deflection...that's compliments the wind at 190@28G42 when we landed.
7. Taxiing in to our gate behind a Mad Dog. Great visibility today.
