Northeast flyers and northeast wannabes,

Well, we made it to WWD/Cape May, NJ in October. We went to POU/Poughkeepsie, NY in November. And Pa is next!

Our next State-of-the-Month fly-in will be on Sat., 1/14 (rain/snow date either Sunday or Monday of that holiday weekend) at LNS/Lancaster, PA. We're meeting for lunch at 12:00, park at West Ramp for Fiorentino's Restaurant. Bring $$ to spend at the pilot shop after lunch.

This will be reposted and updated as we get closer.

I'll drag Mary out for lunch and of course a trip to the pilot store for goodies !:goofy:

Hope to solo this thursday...would there be a better birthday gift ? I think not !

Because I am so far away and have not been to the LNS pilot shop in more than 2 years, each of you who attends this fly-in must buy something from the shop because I just can't get there to support them with my own $$$. You'll thank me after you've done your part ......

I think they should all pitch in and buy you something and send it to you via fedex...that way whatever they get for you gets to fly too.
 
Dave G., Bob B., Greg, Gary M., glad you're coming! I can't seem to respond individually on this thread. Every time I do, I get an automerged doublepost. Hmmmm...

Anyway, we have at least 15 people signed up so far between the blue and red boards. This is going to be phenomenal (as long as the weather holds up). Today I woke up to snow on the ground! :(

I already set up a table in Excel for who's coming and which board. It only gets confusing when someone's from more than one board. Gary Shelby's on all three! :)

I have 10 or 11 from the Cherokee board so far.

Now I have 20 from the Cherokee board. Not sure how many from here and AOPA because I don't know how many will be coming in each plane. Looks like about 35 so far.

Well, if I could fit 27 people in the tiny luncheonette at HWV, we can do it at LNS.

LNS is huge -- seating maybe 70 or more I'd guess...

I think I gave you the high sign on the other board. If not, count my wife and I as two. Not too far from S37 but Janet is doing practice approaches for IR training, so this will be just fine for us.

Update! Newsflash! Reminder!

OK, now that I've got your attention. Our big fly-in to LNS is in two weeks. Between this board, the AOPA board, and the CPA board, we could have 40 people there. Yikes. I'm going to talk to the tower manager this week and give him a heads up. Also might reserve a whole room in the restaurant, if not just a table.

Please update your information here -- just cut and paste the entire list into a new post with your updated information. Included is everyone from all three boards, so I don't have to keep retyping. Thanks!

Toby, I plan on flying over from KTHV, (York, Pa) after a lunch with some DAPO (Diamond Aircraft Pilots Org) members. Having eaten at LNS 3x in the last 2 months I needed a change of scenery. However, one can never pass up an opportunity to visit the Pilot Shop. So, after lunch at Orville's, I expect a few of us to fly on over to LNS. Hope to see ya there.

hey Kaye, if it changes to Monday the 16th (holiday wkd) is there a chance I could ride up with you? I'm supposed to fly with Ray but I think it's later in the day.
