You can taxi or rent a car to make the 12 mile drive to St. Michaels. Christmas in St. Michaels is held annually the second weekend in December in historic St. Michaels, Maryland. Both ticketed and free events offer a weekend packed with holiday fun for everyone. 2009 marks the 23rd year for this festive event and you are cordially invited to join in the festivities! Head over to Talbot Street by 10:30 on Saturday morning to enjoy a spirited Christmas parade, the largest parade on the Shore! This parade is famous for the unique participants and the fun that it delivers. It will, once again feature marching bands, instrumental and vocal music of all sorts, costumed characters, vintage boats, cars, and trucks and floats from many local businesses and organizations, and of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive in town just in time to ride their fabulous antique sleigh right through town. But... if we tell you too much, it will spoil the surprise! Just be sure you get a good viewing spot! There will be plenty of Holiday Shopping in Downtown Area.

Can't make it this year, I will be installing windows in the nursery instead.

Don't forget to print out directions from
the airport to the center of St Michaels or take a gps. You have to get into town before they close the street.

Too many activities this weekend. Plus, airplane is in the shop. Next Christmas....
 
Whew............long day but we had fun. Good to see Lee and meet his Bride Lynn. We also managed to catch up with the folks from Big Sky (FBO at KMIV), Doug and Beth.

I actually got off pretty easy this year, one small bracelet thingy for Mary worth 11 gallons of 100LL and lunch for her and Mom in Law.

I'm working on the journal update.
 
Awesome day. Great flying weather and we had a good time watching the parade and checking out the shops. Somehow I escaped without my wife buying anything. She really enjoyed the day though. This was her longest flight with me so far and she's starting to get more comfortable in the airplane. :thumbsup:

Awsome! Glad to here she had a good day. Hopefully we will join everyone again next year and she will join you too.

Glad Lynn enjoyed St. Michaels.........watch out next year! Mary, Becky and Lynn......we could all be in serious trouble. :D
