Who better to do it!

Go to Norad Santa. Please share with a little one near you. Games, music, and live tracking starting 2PM MST Christmas Eve.

Merry Christmas all!

My kids LOVE that site. We are on it all day Christmas Eve. You should see them scramble for bed when they announce "Santa has completed his journey through Europe and is starting across the Atlantic. Children in North America should be getting into bed immediately."

I particularly like the fact that they spread the cheer around Norad. I like hearing all the different people, from the different branches and different ranks. Great stuff.

1) I love the site
2) I am surprised that some atheist/santa hater has not sued to have them "stop wasting taxpayer dollars" / "separation of church (fables, etc) and state"

No worries there...

The NORAD Tracks Santa (NTS) program has been around for a long time, since 1955 to be exact! And while NORAD has the "history" and excellent technology to track Santa, NORAD cannot expend government funds on the program. Besides the short time a NTS Project Officer spends "managing" the program, NORAD spends only the minimal amount of funds on NTS.

So, how do we do it? The NTS program is funded through generous contributions from our sponsors. Everything from computer servers, web site design, video imaging, Santa's tracking map, and the toll free telephone number, to the souvenir Santa Tracker buttons volunteers are presented on Christmas Eve, companies, corporations and individual sponsors, or what we like to call Partners, bring this program to children around the world.

Without this wonderful generosity the NORAD Tracks Santa Program would not be possible, and NORAD sincerely thanks each and every one of them for their terrific support.

I was all keyed up about this yesterday morning getting ready to pass it on to the kids, only to have my 7 and 9 year olds ask "the" point blank question yesterday afternoon.

How'd you handle that one? I wonder which one is tougher. The Santa talk or "The Talk" you get about the other sex?

Santa's real. Why else would we spend millions of US dollars tracking him!?!?!
Besides, it's not about the man but the whole attitude.

But...the article said only minimal cash was used on this project.

Recently, I heard a story about a kid who saw the pilot of an airliner and promptly informed the pilot, "When I grow up, I want to be a pilot." The pilot gave him the most honest response possible... "Kid, you can't do both."

And, now someone here is trying to say Santa is not real?!?!?!!?

I belive Santa flies a Mil A/C so therefore a N-number is not used. I think he goes by something else. Maybe CLAWS01?

According to NORAD he's at Neuschwanstein right now. Lovely place.

Merry Christmas, all.

How about the having sex with Santa talk?:hairraise: (we won't get into the Easter Bunny at this point.)

He is isn't. Santa is the invention of the secular left to destroy the Christian values of Christmas. Thus destroying the very fabric that this country was founded on. Belief in Santa is media indoctrination to get children to be liberals.

Have you not been watching O'Reilly?? :D:D:D

I tend to pick and choose what I take in from Bill.

Not unlike how I pick and choose what I read from you. :D

Was on the news this morning an the Gen at NORAD said something about the airspace being clogged up with civilians. At least he didn't say GA. (True story)

Oh no, as of just checking... Santa's in Atlanta right now and I'm still awake!
