Final Approach
got my 3 takeoffs and landings in the dark last night - night current once again. They don't feel any different than my day landings - do you suppose it's because I always close my eyes at 20' AGL? ![Smile :) :)](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f642.png)

Just got back from doing mine. Couple of stop-and-goes here at New Haven, over to Oxford for one there, then back home. Also got some nice crosswind practice. And a very pretty view of New Haven coming back. Time to put it in the logbook.
Just curious, does one need to get signed off for night first? Or, if one has his PPC, does he just need to go out and do them at night?
Yet another advantage to being a light and sporty guy - no need for night currency.
In the US you can also get a PPL restricted to DAY VFR, and with that you'd need something more than 3 solo landings to become "current" at night. In the US, your certificate includes night VFR. Go a bit north of y'all, and they have an add-on "Night Rating" much like and Instrument Rating, but not as long.
My standard route is from KHPN to KBDR to KHVN to KOXC and back to KHPN. Note to self: time to do it again.

(Yes, it would be nice - particularly this time of year - but I'm not really complaining - LSA is the best thing since sliced bread as far as I'm concerned.)
