Was looking at PeopleofWalmart.com today during lunch and saw this snapshot

Nick: did you get a new car? ;)

I'm actually surprised that's not rolling on 22s. The big thing around here are older cars like that, jacked up in the air with huge wheels (chrome spinners of course) with a paint job to match either a fictional character (Spongebob is the one I see around here all the time) or candy (seen Jolly Rancher, Skittles, and Starburst).

I've no clue why.

They're called, "Donks."

The owners decorate them up that way to show their individual creativity.

Which (of course) explains why they pretty much all do the same things to their cars.

You cannot make this sh*t up.

Are you sure that is spelled correctly? Did you accidentally type a n instead of an r?

Scott, the proper term for people who would do that to a car and drive it cannot be reprinted in open company.

That's what you get for living in the 'burbs! Otherwise, you'd know the difference between a donk, a box and a bubble...

But you're more likely to see something like this around here:

What is that??? The unholy union of an AMX, and a Mustang????

. . . and I thought I had trouble(in the low slung, bucket seated Austin Healey) seeing over the hood without sitting on a firm couch pillow).

My question is how much does the acceleration suffer from having those giant wheels? Also the speedometer readings are completely useless after such an increment in wheel size, or at least I think so. I don't know if they would go to the trouble of swapping gear ratios, etc.
