Cap'n Jack
Final Approach
- Got to see the Ford Trimotor from the air- EAA was selling rides.
- Got some crosswind practice. First couple of landings were ugly- touched on centerline, went straight until the nosewheel touched down and the plane darted left since I had still left rudder for the slip. I'm glad I wasn't in the Cherokee- it steers very well on the ground.
- Got to use an unfamiliar part of Lincoln airport- rwy 32. The tower had me on 17/35 or 18/36. 17/35 is closed so I got 32 which let me have crosswind.
- Last landing- greased it in, coasted to the first taxiway past the threshold (K) and turned off.
- Nice comfortable weather.
