  • Got to see the Ford Trimotor from the air- EAA was selling rides.
  • Got some crosswind practice. First couple of landings were ugly- touched on centerline, went straight until the nosewheel touched down and the plane darted left since I had still left rudder for the slip. I'm glad I wasn't in the Cherokee- it steers very well on the ground.
  • Got to use an unfamiliar part of Lincoln airport- rwy 32. The tower had me on 17/35 or 18/36. 17/35 is closed so I got 32 which let me have crosswind.
  • Last landing- greased it in, coasted to the first taxiway past the threshold (K) and turned off.
  • Nice comfortable weather.

Nice! I went up today as well. I was up by about 8:30am. You must have been in the 150? I took the Cherokee to KSWT and did some currency landings over there and then flew around a friend's place over by Milford.

Yes, a beautiful day in NE. I started my morning in Scottsbluff, an otherwise forgettable town (no offense to any residents), before heading further west. Clear skies. Never been to NE before. Friendly folks, more Country (as in Country/Western) than I would have expected. Never expected I'd be able to contribute to a thread with this title.

I got to fly half way across NE today to Minden. Was a nice trip except for all the turbulance, sfc winds wasnt too bad but the turb was nasty for a while. I hope its less turb tomorrow.

Well, you were in that end of the state. There are two Nebraskas. One at this end and one at that end. You need to stop at this end if you're coming back through so that you don't think we all drive around with cattle guards on our trucks. :)

:D

I will say Eastern NE, or should I say, that end, looked quite nice. The back end, eh, not so much.
