Oh, welcome to POA. Do come back, although could you please get your propaganda straight when you do?

What does the word "is" mean? What does any word mean? Sounds like a matter of interpretation to me in many respects. How about we just say we disagree with someone instead of trying to one up someone or tell them their wrong...what is reality anyway? Is your reality the same as mine? Probably not...which means my interpretation and understanding cannot and will not be exactly the same as anyone else's...what appears to be facts are they really fact or the pigment of one's imagination?

Since I will never agree with what everyone else says on this board (propaganda) and they will never agree with what I say on this board (propaganda) seems to me we all need to leave and never come back. Whose interpretation of reality (propaganda) are we going to agree is the only one with which we are allowed to write about on this board?...seriously doubt we would ever agree. I personally choose to remain on this board because I choose to be a part of this "community" whether I agree with everyone else or not...

That's my story and I'm sticking to it...whether you agree with me or not! :yesnod::yesnod: :rollercoaster:

I forget which now, but the first two were the mainline to ____ Christian Protestant.

We belong to a Presbyterian church (PC USA), I grew up (to the very limited degree church was attended) in the Episcopal church. Dribs and drabs of Southern Baptist influence, and nearly all our family friends, growing up, were Jewish.

Fun fact: When I was a kid, we were the token Goyim at the Julius Schepps Jewish Community Center.

I figured you for a Peoples Temple escapee....

A beautiful Sunday morning over a decade ago, loading the boat at Key West Diver getting ready to head out to the reef on a "shop and friends" dive some dude walks out on our dock and proclaims "You all should be going to Church!" in a scornful tone. I looked up at him and said a bit incredulously, "we are...":aureola::aureola::aureola:

When someone's first and only post is to baldly promote a cause or (in this case) religion, I call it propaganda. When a member of the community does so its discussion. Would you really start promoting your religion at a social occasion in a room full of strangers? You wouldn't be invited back (and I did invite the dude back).

Again, a matter of an interpretation...I didn't see it as promoting a religion...and I stand by what I said
