New Logo

I wouldn't mind having a company make a run of some merchandise with the new logo. tshirts, coffee mugs, pens, key chains, folios.

If I did that and offered them for sale here at cost, who would I talk to to get permission?

The MC is working on it, guys. A couple of members have businesses doing this and would be willing to provide a royalty fee back to POA for your purchases to help with fundraising some of "POA Next". More to come... that's enough of a teaser for now. :yes:
 
I hate to say it, but I didn't even notice the logo had been changed until I saw this thread. My powers of observation must be lacking. Good thing I pay attention to the important stuff when PIC. :D

BTW, I like the new logo.
 
Apparently it's not visible in Tapatalk? I haven't seen the new logo, either.
 
It takes a while for Tapatalk to propagate new graphics, apparently. Keep watching.

Spike is right. Make sure you clear your cache per the instructions I gave before... it took a while, but my instance on iOS has the correct logos in all three places they show it.
 
You didn't think "POA Next" would just slip by, did you? What could it be? First a new logo, and then a full redesign and then? Plus, a project name of Next? You need something mysterious and faintly NSA, like project SLAW-RUDDER.

Well, my last experience for a site redesign outside of PoA involved changing the hardware cluster, upgrading the OSs, upgrading the app and DB stack, adding in a few modules, migrating existing content with new templates, and a full design overhaul with narrow timelines. I would have to recommend against that course of action. ;)
 
Why is it a jpeg? It looks blotchy. Should use png or gif.

The teensy little postage stamp (that I presume is the POA logo) visible in Tapatalk appears to have a T-tail, low-wing, King Air-type airplane in it.

Is that the new or old logo? I've never noticed or cared before.
 
I had to close the Tapatalk program, then reopen it, to see the new logo.

But I have iDevices. Maybe what Troy said is true. ;)

Can you post a screenshot? If it doesn't look like a miniature version of this, you are seeing the old one:

Wow you stay away for a while and things get weird. That logo is kinda fugly WTF finally happened in the **** Zone to get it disabled.

Things are definitely getting weird around here when a common word like **** ($pin) is banned like a cuss word. :(

Its probably due to a move to a sponsor supported forum with banner ads etc and the SZ probably would not have sat to well with some sponsors.

Or a pay to play model for "special" content.

I've had the same thought. These MC actions make a lot more sense, in that context.
