Howdy folks, I wanted to find a place to discuss aviation with like - minded flight enthusiasts, and this looks like the place.
A bit about me: I live in Alaska and I've been working at a flight school in Palmer since June of last year. I served 7.5 years active duty in the army and decided it's time to stop jumping out of airplanes and learn how to fly them.
For the flight school, I handle all the flight scheduling, some of the aircraft maintenance (I'm limited in what I can do there, since I'm not an A&P.) and general customer service stuff.
It's a great small company, family atmosphere and they have been good to me. I have about 30 hours in my logbook so far and they haven't charged me a dime. I just flew my first solo about 4 months ago in a Piper PA11 Cub. I confess I'm a bit biased, but I think Alaska is the best place in the world to live and fly.
