I have a Cessna 182 and am looking for the items below.
I would appreciate specific names or links to the products.
- manual pump that will inflate the tires AND do it through the small doors on the wheel pants (it can be a foot pump or a bicycle pump)
- light-weight folding stool so I can check the fuel level (I know, I know, it's a high wing thing)
- will any microfiber cloth be fine for cleaning the windows?
That's it for now. Thank you.

Not sure on the pump.

For fuel I bought a normal lightweight 2-step aluminum step ladder. We had a special aviation folding ladder and it sucked.

For the windshield I buy a pack of the super soft blue towels for car detailing. I dedicate one towel for the windshield and only wipe up and down. I dedicate another soft towel for a quick spray bottle detailer.

There is some fancy itialn screw onto the valve thing for your pump that will work. I’d as on the bike groups, forgot the name of the company

On the windows I've started following what the local glider club does. Once I found out what a new canopy for their gliders cost I figured I could learn something. They flood with water and rub with their bare hands with more water to remove the bugs. Then a final polish with microfibre cloth.

I use a two step ladder for fuelling the Husky.

We dont have these on our 1972 P model. But then again on a 182 not sure if they would be of any use. I thought on 172's these step points go together with another small step behind the motor and down below the windshield. And they work because the fuel cap is closer.

On the bladdered 182's the cap is probably too far to reach by stepping on the strut and the little side fuselage step.

I think you want a real ladder. Just two steps. Our ladder from a hardware store weighs about 4lbs. It does take up some space but the 182 has a lot of room. Even if fuel stations have a ladder I always use our short one because I can move it with one hand and the heavy nozzle and hose with the other. Plus its too short the bang into the prop or windshield and great for cleaning the windshield and bugs off the tail.

Wet wing 182's, I take my foot off the fuselage step and balance on one foot on the strut step to reach the fuel cap. I was not aware that bladders move the cap farther out on the wing.

I'm not sure either. I wish I was by the plane to verify...going from memory it just seems like it would be a reach.

I use shop towels and CRC aviation window cleaner for windows. Microfiber fine. Sandpaper not recommended.
