... on Hulu. Called Skydance, the dialog runs from cheddar to hooey, but I thought the aerial sequences were just gorgeous. From the length and looks I assume it was an IMAX movie. Hope it's not a repost; I couldn't find it with a search. Definitely new to me.

Beautiful scenery and the PC-7 is the airplane I've lusted after for a long time but ohhhh the plot... :skeptical:

Lots of amazing eye candy there, great aerial cinematography... but "mawkish" and "stilted" don't even begin to describe that script. Pee-yew!! Like a big ice cream sundae with a cat turd on top instead of a cherry.

I've never cared less about the characters in a film... everybody's like a glossy cardboard cutout of some lame Hollywood stereotype.

I think something was lost in translation, too... it's as if the all-French production team was afraid to just make a French movie, for some reason. :dunno: (Gallic shrug).

Might have been a lot better if they had.

That being said, though, it's worth mentioning again how awesome it is every time the camera is pointed at an airplane in that movie.... makes it worth watching. Gorgeous stuff.

I'm only 14 minutes in, and you're spot on! I mean, Pilati and Corsair airplanes (plural of Pilatus?) and Ducati bikes in the same film?! What's not to like?

The cheesiest part was the guy had a girl crazy about him and easy on the eyes who could fly acro and rode a Duc (OK, a little on the possessive side), so he goes for the reporter.

I loved it when the PC-7 came over the ridge and scared the sheep out of the hill.

P.S.--I think the movie is more of an "Over France" type film, with an aviation story to give a "reason" for flying over all these (gorgeous) places.

P.P.S.--I thought it funny that the PC-7 always has its flaps down. Probably had to in order to fly slow enough to stay anywhere CLOSE to the photo ship.

P.P.P.S.--Now I want a PC-7. :-)

I watched it, then looked at a few of the "suggested movies" at the bottom. Ended up watching 1.5 hours of Naval Flight School and then 1 hour of Red Flag IMAX video's. Great Site!
