Name This Book

Some time ago, I became aware of a book about an airliner that got stranded overseas when the U.S. got pulled into WW 2. (At least I think it was a book and not a movie or documentary, but I could be wrong.) It relates the tale of how the crew managed to fly home while avoiding capture.

Unfortunately I don't remember the title. Does here anyone know?

I just watched the first episode of the three-part series, "Across the Pacific," linked at the top of that page. Amazon Prime subscribers can watch it for free, and it provides a lot of great insights into the early development of U.S. commercial aviation.
