I beleive the memorial is in the District but would be on the Maryland side of the Potomac. Although the other pictures could be Virginia as well.

They are all the same state? Picture 3 is the Korean War Memorial in DC. The other pictures look like somewhere in the western states to me. The river could be the Columbia, so Washington or Oregon. The mountains, maybe Alaska?
