Pre-takeoff checklist
Does anyone here use corporate or product overview videos for your business? We're looking at expanding some of our marketing into video and have seen a wide variety of pricing from local ad agencies (all of which do everything in house).
I've seen everything from $120/hr (production time, even if there are 3 video/sound people at the shoot) to a pre-negotiated rate of $3,000 per edited minute.
Any recommendations of what to look/ask for? Also, can anyone shed light on an "average" cost for video shoots?
- The majority of what we shoot will be one of our employees interviewing someone else, service overviews (with voice overs, b-roll and someone speaking to the camera) or really basic educational/whiteboard videos.
- Final length will vary from 1 minute to 12 minutes, depending on the video.
- No CGI or fancy editing required...just basic captions and graphics
- Shoot locations will all be local
