What am I doing to cause a circumferential sidewalk failure.
See description for driving type, mx habits
‘20 Tundra

Mute (wind noise)

Looks like it had a curb scrub at some point prior to the failure. May have been hard enough to delam part of the sidewall and allow it to separate and partially inflated it. The center of the tire shows excessive wear on the one edge, but it didn't get that in just a few miles.

Too much toe in took the tread off the outside edge, and produced excessive heat.

Too low tire pressure increases sidewall flex, very much more heat.

Severe turns at speed, again sidewall heat concentrated on the outside sidewall.

Speed?

Lowering air pressure to get softer ride, or better traction in soft sand is a killer for tires. The rubber softens, slips relative to the fabric, and the tire is done.
