<na> Philmont evacuation <na>

That's bad. Another adult leader and I took 9 Scouts down there years (25+) ago and the place is fantastic.
 
Really dry here in NM. It's going to be a long fire season. I can't remember the last time I saw rain hit the ground here.

Hope it doesn’t mess Philmont up too bad and that everyone is safe. I went to Philmont as a boy scout in 1983, and it was definitely the highlight of my scouting career. Great memories.

I have some recollections of Philmont. I made the trip back in the late 50's. Boy Scouts in Pittsburgh chartered a bus for a group of about 40. Long drive since no interstates had been completed.
