This time, I am looking for a multifunction laser printer. The old HP3200 is being very cranky. You get that way when old.

B&W computer printer
Flatbed scanner
" Copier (for textbooks)
Fax

Ideas, thanks.

My coworker just got great deal on a HP c309 Wireless web(!) printer. It has a touchscreen like an iPhone screen.
$99.99 for the 309g(?)! http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/s...41&srccode=cii_23393768&cpncode=25-10526296-2

Among other things by just plugging it in to the net it will deliver newspapers and coupons - all the better to make you use up printer supplies.

It sounds cool enough that I'll put it on my Wishlist.

I like HP for document handling. (PCs stink) Most of the interfaces are user friendly. Mine is a PhotoSmart 7280 multifunction. I've had it a couple of years. Wired or wireless, has a slot for flashcards, simple interface on a keypad, autoprint both sides, auto document feeder is a definite plus.
Amazon has them.

I have a Canon MFC4100 All-In-One that I'm happy with - duplex printing, sheet-fed scanning and copying.

I'd suggest Canon, HP, or Lexmark Multi-Function Units. I've owned all three brands and been happy.

not a laserjet, but any lexmark all-in-one down at the local walmart should do

i have an x6570 that will do everything you're looking for

it was less than $120

they get you with the inkjet replacement cartridges

Got a Epson 610 WorkForce for 70 bucks. It is multifunction and is one of the fastest home printers that I have had. Several modes from Home use to Professional use. It also prints the absolutely best pictures of any printers that I have had. My 2¢.

....SNIP....

It's damned near cheaper to throw out any printer and buy a new one rather than buy another ink cartridge for it. If it wasn't for installing the supporting software, I might just do that.

everyone missed my spec of Laser printer. No inkjet.
PS I have an inkjet and haven't bought a cartridge in years....I just refill it. about 10$ per year.

what do you call the feature where the copy glass edges are physically unimpeded, ie you could put an oversize book on it....the lid will even come off so as to allow more room on my current printers.
