Has anyone had dealings with the outfits that detect subsurface leaks "Leak Locators"? Looks like I have a nice water leak below, and somewhere about in the center of a 100'x50' concrete slab.
Goes nicely with the freezes and fires we've had I guess. <scowl>

Yes. Water seeping up from concrete through seams in VCT flooring.
No rain here for 180 days, everything is parched so it can't be groundwater. No sprinklers running, no water outside near the building at all. No leaks under sinks or toilets.
I think the detectors are acoustic. Apparently the leak can be 50' from where it appears thanks to underground ducting.

American Leak Detection? I've used them several times. They are good at it. Before them it was cut holes till it squirts. One time they found three separate leaks. Expensive but worth it if you have expensive flooring. Most plumbers here wont touch a sub-slab leak until the leak detectors mark where. Yes, it is acoustic.

If you have soft copper supply plumbing, once the pinhole leaks start, it's all downhill. You're probably better off re-plumbing all the supply lines overhead and dropping down to the fixtures.
