Botched go around, stall and crash. This one has video.

Pilot escaped with minor injuries.

Trim stall yeah? I never really knew what those were until I checked out in a 182 and my cfi had me do a few go arounds to impart how much forward yoke is needed.

Normally you don’t get that pitch action in a 172 but maybe he already had a bunch of trim in?

I don't recall making much of a trim change for landing in a 172, but it's been quite a while. The 182, yes.

Oh that sucks. Glad he survived.

Can he log that landing?

I wouldn’t. I think the rule of thumb is that you need to be able to use the aircraft again.

The other question is will he stick with it.

Plenty of aircraft did their last landing and were never used again - just look at the ramp at most airports.

A good landing is one you can walk away from. A great one is when you can use the aircraft again. I'd imagine he didn't quite walk away from it. A limping run?

Be proficient at going around. Too many pilots are not.
