I live in the small town of La Crosse, Kansas.

Out front of the City Auditorium is a Geopositional Marker setting in a small patch of concrete.

The marker is about 6" round.

On it, in the center is:

C 195
________

1934

The 1934' is the elevation.

Does anyone know what the C 195 means?

Well a Cessna 195 is referred to as C 195.
Not sure why it would be on a marker though.

The marker is a survey marker or benchmark. The C 195 is an identifier of the marker, probably a geodetic survey.

1934 is the year, elevation there is about 2060'.
