We just got our most recent bill and the tiedown fee is $15 less than previously. We were not informed that there would be a rate change. Is this happening elsewhere?

Better hurry and go find something more expensive!! :D

The nearest airport to me is considering a free tiedown if you pre-purchase 120 gallons of fuel.

But just overnight.:wink2:

No. Mine has been $35/mo for a couple years now. Prior to that it was $25 for several years.

Mine is 30 a month with no ropes, must supply my own. The city dosnt want the liability of the tie downs.

Our tiedowns are $15/mo. I keep my plane with 2 others in a NICE somewhat heated hangar for $200, even at KMSO hangars can be had for $150.

That's an outrage! Demand an explanation! Refuse to pay the lower rate - let 'em sue!

Bwa-ha-ha-ha!

Ah, no. Prices aren't dropping in high demand areas. Like, say, an island in the Gulf of Mexico, where all the hangars are privately owned and they're not allowing anyone to build more. :mad2:

Tie-downs at KBED are $115 (maybe a little higher). That's $115 per month. No electricity, no storage. And it includes the privilege of pay $75 every two years for a background check.

Lots of empty tie-downs.

Anyone wanna bet that ma$$port doesn't understand why there are empty tie-downs?

Hangars at home base run $400 and (way) up if you can find one. Tie downs run $200. Ground lease underneath both and included in those costs, is usually higher every three years or so.

Tie downs haven't been reduced at my airport, but I happen to know that there are very few airplanes tied down, and there are several empty T-hangars. Maybe, just maybe, someone is realizing that all airplane owners aren't wealthy!
