A local banner-tow pilot, who also happens to be an ex-student of my glider instructor and learned to fly in 94H (which I recently helped restore), was so enamored with my shark's mouth on 94H that he asked me to do the same on the L19 he tows banners with.
I managed to finish it yesterday- took about 12 hours over two days, including some time spent watching the paint dry, LOL. It was a lot harder than the glider, what with the oil cooler, air filter, latches, rivets, etc... not to mention the pretty bad condition of the existing paint ("olive drabbest")... but I like it.
Predictably, I did it not for money, but for some stick time- definitely looking forward to that.

Who's next? :D
