My Computer Is Sending Out Spam! Help!

Well kinda.

Everyone on my email list was getting viagra spam. Nice huh? My mother is single and does not need viagra. If she does, more power to her but I do not want to know about it. :no:

Turns out some one hijached my email account and changed all of the sercuity questions and passwords. After an hour with someone in India we got it fixed.

Sorry mom! ;)

This happen to anyone else?
 
I had a nasty malware infection once. It took some real expert help to get rid of it.

Any idea how your email got compromised?
 
I had about five posts under my LinkedIn account promoting Weatherbug the other day, and I hadn't made them. Aggravating, but I'm not losing sleep over it.
 
I have made peace with my SPAM and turned all the filters to "off". I enjoy reading it each and every day.

I open them only on my BlackBerry, of course, not on my computer.

My computer was sending it out or should I say my email account was. It was hacked by some viagra selling nimrod. No need for the blue pill yet. ;)

Anyway, I had to contact AOL and have them reset my passwords and security questions. What a pita.
 
When this happens, is the activity on your harddrive or does it all happen at the server?
