LOOK! My airplane's been forever immortalized in a flight simulator program! :) This is what it looks like after the graphic artists at Hobbico have done their thing:

Kewl, huh?? The final working version isn't quite ready yet... the Geek Squad is still working on a few things, but I love it! :D The release date has been pushed back to May. Can't wait to see how my airplane flies in the virtual world!
 
Oh wow, great. Did they add a 430 to the panel while they were at it?
 
Thanks, Sac! :) No additions or substitutions to the panel at all... that is MY panel, exactly as it is in my airplane. I have the 430/496 GPS navigation/weather combination and love it! The Hobbico guys spent the better part of an hour one Sunday afternoon at my hangar taking photos from every angle, inside and out, to get every detail.

BTW... Nice (new) avatar! ;) I've always liked that navy polo.
 
Several years ago, I generated a MSFS model of the Fly Baby. I included a number of of different paint schemes.

I debated including my own aircraft in the mix, but it just felt..wrong, somehow. Most sim models end up being flown into crashes, at some point or another, and it just seemed like tempting fate.

Speaking of adding things to the panel, I did include an "Easter Egg" for N500F, the 50-year-old Fly Baby prototype. If you hit the MSFS key for the GPS, a 1961 Esso Road map appears....

Way back in the FS98 days I made a model of our Cheetah. We were thinking about new paint schemes for the airplane and FS98 let us see the ideas in "flight".

What flight sim is this? I don't think I've heard of real flight.

Ron: Do you still have the model fro the Fly Baby? Would it work in FSX? That seems like it would be fun.
 
RealFlight is a RC simulator.
