If she won't start a thread, I will

Last week, first time w/ me in the back and her flying.
It rained on us a bit which was interesting.

Worth noting CFI doesn't take over control until about 3 seconds before the threshold. Not bad for lesson 4 (I think)

She'll be soloing before no time.

Go Eren GO..

Yes indeed!

And according to the Urban Dictionary:

TOP DEFINITION
Eren
Eren is a female who has the body of a goddess and the brain of a genius. Men are drawn to her good looks and her awesome sense of humour. Out of all the females in the world its the Erens who rule.

Nice flying for the 4th lesson! You'll soon be having to do rock paper scissors to determine who gets to fly!

Wouldn't that imply she'd have her pick of guys? How did 6PC manage it?:dunno:

not bad, you know, for a girl! WHOOOP, jk, great job Eren! you fly much better than a certain someone takes video ;) ;)

Well, according to Urban Dictionary:

Bryan

the best person in the world. he's one in a million. he's polite, kind, thoughtful, and freaking hilarious. there is never going to be anyone like him. i love him more than any boy.

But then again, it says:

Tim

vb. to sex someone up
n. man with a massive schlong

vb.That whore just got timmed
n.You hear about Bob? He is tim.

Urban Dictionary doesn't lie! :goofy:

I see we have both been editing Urban Dictionary again.
My massive schlong part must have been truncated

Well, this is now my favorite thread of all time. :D

Thank you, B. Your support and encouragement mean a lot to me. Though I did ask you to edit it so you can't see that I have both hands on the yoke, but I guess I'll let that slide. ;)

I am really enjoying flying. I told 6PC that I need to take my lessons closer together, because as time passes, I start getting a little nervous again. Then I go up, love it, can tell I'm catching onto things, and land wanting to go up again. We did coordinated turns in Sunday's lesson, and I did pretty good, if I do say so myself.

Tim, that Eren definition is spot-on. And you know there aren't many people that spell it like I do, so clearly it is written specifically about me. There are, however, a multitude of Bryans and Tims, so I don't think we can be completely sure that those definitions apply to the two of you.

Thank you all for the kind comments. I still have a long way to go, but I am enjoying it. And it was SO fun to have Bryan in the back seat! I rode along for many of his lessons, so it is a fun change of pace to have him sitting back there.

My CFII used to fly with both hands on the yoke. It's no big deal as long as it isn't a death grip, you aren't over-controlling, and you don't need a hand on the throttle.

Of course there are some religious fanatics who feel otherwise...

And yup, most people say to fly at least a couple times a week for best learning/retention.

I uploaded my first solo video to youtube.
Holy Hell... The comments about how I was an idiot and going to wind up dead because I used 2 hands to flare.

Every single comment was about my radio calls being too fast and not having my hand on the throttle and how I was a danger to anyone within a few miles.

It will take ALOT of editing to hide that BRIGHT RED finger nail polish..:D:D

Yay, go Eren! We need more women in the sky (IMHO)! :goofy:

Your fourth lesson and you didn't overshoot the turn to final? You're doing MUCH better than I was doing at that time... Keep it up and you'll be soloing in no time! (And I agree that a lesson or two a week would be great, if possible.)

Well....... :D

Chick pilots are the coolest people on the planet! My wife is pushing 20 hours and will be soloing this weekend. You should be proud of yourself, Eren! This is something that not just anybody can do.

Thanks again, y'all! I feel like there is SO much I don't know, but I guess I will learn it in time. Soloing seems about a million years away, but my goal is to do so before my birthday in September, if not before.

You need to have a sit-down with Mary, Eren. She's pushing 900(?) hours, now, and can probably give you some insight on what being a pilot in a two-pilot family is like.

It's all awesomeness, of course. :goofy:
