Most comfortable airplanes

Took a quick look on trade a plane and that’s a lotta plane for the money?!? Is age what really dings these as far as value??

Phil: I think two things scare people off of them. Number one, is that some version run geared engines. Geared engines need a bit of care in their operational handling and a ham fisted pilot can do large dollar damage in a hurry. The key with them is learning and adhering to the proper operating procedures.

Number two is that the Commander twins are simply big airplanes. They do not fit a lot of tee hangars, and those that they do fit in, are often very tight fits.

Your definition of comfortable and mine vary GREATLY. The ones I've been in, I wore them, more than I was in them.

They are very wide compared to the average Cessna or Piper in its class.

But up front, I kind of get the our point. It feels form fitting with the center console setup but you don't rub elbows and the backseat is large.

My issue with them when I had access to one was the lack of useful load, at least on that specific plane. It was under 950 pounds.

I'm a little spoiled in the Comanche with no console. It feels wider and roomier than my Vette even.
