What is the best way to get from the airport to the "downtown" on the other side of the inlet? Seems like it'd be a long walk.

Taxi or uber. It’s about 5 miles from the airport to the town. You could bike but walking is probably out of the question unless you want to get your cardio in.

Hooked is good. Only outdoor seating. Not a fan of seafood but my girlfriend likes it for lobster rolls. Not sure if you can get a drink but the Montauk brewing company is pretty good as well for a beer.

The Inlet is pretty good too and that is (unlike the town center) definitely walk-able from the airport.
