Don't know the history of the tail number. Just know the future. And the future is looking bleak for the old bank account. ;)

Spent 3 hours Saturday night cleaning it and tending to some worn clear coat... but the good news is the engine break in procedure went from burning a quart of oil every 2 hours to not burning nearly anything on the last 1.5.

Give the poor guy a break Fred. His wallet developed and leak and that can cause a man to say things he doesn't really mean. Nice looking plane. I have her slightly older sister.

It took a month and a half for the FAA to finally register my plane to me. While I was waiting, the owner of the hangars texted me and asked, "Your plane is registered to (previous owner) are you in a partnership or something?"
 
Nice looking plane, I like the crisp style of the paint scheme.


As long as you got the pink copy of the reg, you're good to go shy of international ops.

Well we live together in sin so my stupid financial decisions affect the both of us. And since I like her and would like to keep her around, I generally consult with her. She also generally encourages my stupidity, so it is easy to ask when she's going to say yes. Lol

Flew up to Salinas and back on Friday. 95 degrees at 8,500 on the way up. NO. BUENO.

Wow, that's hot at that altitude. When I flew to Chandler last week, it was only about 80 F OAT at the same altitude, despite being about 105 F on the ground.

I know one of the controllers who just left TOA, Eric Lyman. I see him and his dad (who has a nice V-tail Bo) about two hangars down at Cable (KCCB).
 
It's funny because my flight up there was what made me think to myself "So... your trip to visit Chandler to see your buddy? Yeah. That's going to wait for 4 months."

No way am I cruising at that OAT only to land in 116.
 
Bah, I did Lake Havasu when it was 122 and headed for GCNP and Bryce the next day. DA at Bryce was almost 12000.
 
Congrats on the new bird! I fly a Bo but I really love the cherokee. Thanks to a fellow POAer I have a heck of a lot of hours in a PA28-140.
