that does sound good, but its basically already been done this year.

teddy grahams sound GREAT though (although not for dessert)

At this rate, I think we should start a separate forum for recipes (subroom in Hanger Talk, perhaps...or Pilot Training :)), if for no other reason than there are some really good recipes floating around the ether now that I might want to find in the future .

Teller, if you want to see some really good recipes, check out this book. I made two of them for dinner for my girlfriend, her mom, and her brother last night and they met with rave reviews...

My wife just made this last night. Super easy and was very good. Below she said 9x13 pan. For those of us that need more elaboration, she used a glass baking pan.

Cherry Pineapple Crunch

1 20 oz can cherry pie filling (or whatever the closest size is)
1 20 oz can crushed pineapple, undrained (or whatever the closest size is)
1 18.25 oz box yellow cake mix
1 stick butter, sliced
1 cup pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 pan. Spread cherry pie filling in pan. Follow with undrained pineapple. Sprinkle cake mix on top. Lay slices of butter on top of the cake mix. Sprinkle with pecans. Bake, uncovered for 45 minutes or until it's starting to become golden on top. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

well i just ended up grabbing some ice cream at hy vee. also got oreos, fruit snacks, starburst jellybeans, strawberries, bananas, hersheys chocolate syrup, and whipped cream to top it. now im in junk food heaven. and boy was it yummy

I use the 75 year old stuff. But what's 25 years +/- among friends?
I have never had the stuff that old. OR at least I don't think I have. Usually when I get the sweet stuff on things I figure they did the reduction route. Is the old stuff like that or is it just tastier?

For the milk make a horchata!

Horchata

Horchata is an old-world drink that was enjoyed by the Aztecs. Today this agua fresca is served throughout Mexico, as well as in many authentic Mexican restaurants in the United States. Horchata is a cool and soothing enhancement to spicy food.1 cup long grain white rice
2 cups skinless almonds
1-inch piece cinnamon bark
8 cups water
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Ice cubesWash and drain the rice. Using a spice grinder (an electric coffee grinder works well too), grind the rice until fine; combine with the almonds and cinnamon bark. Add 3 1/2 cups water and let sit overnight, covered. Blend rice mixture until smooth using a blender. Add 2 1/2 cups of water and continue blending. Add sugar and vanilla extract. Strain horchata into a bowl first using a metal strainer and then a double layer of cheesecloth; finish with up to an additional 2 cups of water until it achieves a milky consistency. Enjoy over ice.

And I also heard you are bringing everyone at Gaston's cookies??????? ;) Do you want our cabin number now?;)

yea sure ill bring cookies to gastons. be advised that last year the ziploc bag only lasted about 10 minutes after we landed. ill make more this year. maybe jesse will actually show up with his (supposed) yummy recipe to challenge me.
