Missing Pilot and Plane in Kentucky

I just landed there last week. It's only bout 50 miles from where I'm at. Any news?

non yet...airborne search yesterday without any results....adding ground volunteers, search and rescue today....

Could be. But if it's heavily forested, even bright yellow paint isn't going to help much. All you can do is look for the disturbed vegetation. You can get brown spots after several days due to the fuel, but a beetle infestation looks pretty similar, and there can be a lot of those.
 
Very sad indeed. Bob was a gentle soul, always loved chatting about flying anytime I saw him around the hospital. Would always do the first Medical for free, just because. In fact was on his way home on to give two medicals on his memorial day off, nonetheless. Died doing what he loved but left a great family behind.
