I would doubt it. The new sheriff's at the FTC and DOJ have shown a marked interest in pursuing anti-trust claims in the Valley. FTC already sniffed around Apple after the Google Voice rejection.

Google used the same trick that phone directory and dictonary companies ues to catch copycats. Insert a nonsensical entry and wait for it to show up in your suspected plagiarizers publication.
