McAfee wanted for murder

Could he just have spent too much time in front of a computer and gone psycho. If so are some of us ... Nah too scary to think about.

maybe a bug got to him and he fell off his Trojan horse?

How is this a technical issue? Will it affect existing computer antivirus systems?

(BTW I hate McAfee AV software. We used the network version for a while and it screwed up our PC's so bad we had to toss that crap.)

Not for me, I uninstall any McAfee or Norton/Symantec software on first boot then load the free version of AVG, Antimalwarebytes and Super AntiSpyware and I am problem free for years at a time with free automatically updating software.

I am in love with ESET NOD32 lately. Low footprint, unobtrusive, but effective.

As for John, he's always been a bit of an oddball, and apparently he may have finally rolled off into the deep end. And I never really cared much for his antivirus products, by the way -- just to keep this tech-related. I always found them to be annoying, bloated, and about as effective as a sieve at catching malware.

I'm tech ignorant, but after the 2nd time I had to PAY McAfee to allow someone from India to have access to my computer to trouble shoot, find, and eliminate a virus that McAfee failed to detect, I bailed. What a POS.

from a CNN story:
"McAfee saw them coming and he dug a hole in the sand and buried himself in the sand, he says, and he put a cardboard box over his head so he could breathe," Davis said. "He said it was extremely uncomfortable, but he believes that the police will kill him if he turns himself in."

Apparently 4 of McAfee's 11 dogs were poisoned on Friday night. Neighbor found dead Sunday.

This is going to be a movie someday.

He's beginning to sound like the Saddam Hussein of the software world.

Hmm. So you're saying the CIA put the major virus scanning software powers that be, into power? Hehehehe. (Crazy, but I could see that...)

I didn't think of it that way, but now that you mention it...

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that John's a pilot.

I wonder how this will affect his medical...

The more I read, the cooler McAfee seems to be as a dude.
