Morning Everyone,

As I am sure you are all aware NOAA discontinued this product before it’s replacement was available.

I think this was a mistake, as it was a tool that allowed us to look out 3 days and, for me anyway, extended the go/no-go decision making process out long enough to make alternate plans if necessary. This reduced the get thereitis pressure as you could change plans early.

Now we are left with only an 18 hr window which is really very short.

Below is a link to an area that you can leave a comment. I doubt anyone will actually even read them, but if anyone feels the same send a note as it can’t hurt.

https://www.nws.noaa.gov/mdl/synop/contact.php

Does anyone have a link to a 3 day cloud/ceiling forecast? I have been unable to find one.

Thanks

Flav

Already emailed them, got a response within hours, a replacement product will be available soon.

I recently discovered windy.com. you can choose from the european or us global models and the website is really comprehensive. They both go out 10 days. Obviously things can change dramatically in that timespan, but it sure beats having nothing until 18 hours out, especially when you are trying to schedule a club plane.

Thanks For Windy.com, I will try it out.

I've been using windy.com for a year or so and like it. Very useful.
