Hey everyone,

Our May 15 fly-in was a washout, so D'Shannon Products and The 1940 Air Terminal Museum at William P. Hobby Airport are teaming up to bring you a make-up Beechcraft Day this Saturday, June 26. This is shaping up to be a great event, as the guys from http://www.flyingacrossamerica.com will be there (not in a Beech, but still cool), and we are going to have a 'Meet the Pilot' program for kids during the day. There will be a news crew from our local Fox affilliate out to cover the Meet the Pilot event, and this can turn into a really great way to promote GA and Beech aircraft in general.

Admission is free to anyone who arrives via Beechcraft, and that includes lunch. The fly-in will be from 10a - 4p, and I believe there will be a drawing there to win a set of D'Shannon Gap Seals.

The museum is located on the west ramp of Hobby Airport (KHOU). Hobby is really easy to get into with a GA plane - their controllers are great and are always willing to work with you. When you talk to the tower, just tell them you're parking at the museum and request runway 17 or 35, if able. This will give you the shortest taxi to the museum and will give the museum attendees on the ramp the best view to critiqu- er, applaud your landing!

I've attached a flyer, so please feel free to print it out, post it, or send it to your friends. For more information about the event, go to http://www.1940airterminal.org. For more info on flying into the Houston Class B, go to http://www.houstonpilots.net/resources/FlyingInClassB/ I hope to see you guys there!

BTW - non-Beech fly-ins and drive-ins are welcome too!

PJ,
I just got word of this yesterday. The Redhead is out of town until late tonight and the weather this weekend will be HOT!!!

Does the beechcraft part of this event happen regularly?

Well, the fly-in part happens on the third Saturday of every month, and Beechcraft are always welcome. They're not always the focus, but they're never turned away. Typically, anyone who flies in gets free admission, including lunch.

I'm a-gonna be there!

...and so I was!

Great fun. Met the pilot who Piloted the first plane to land at Houstpn's Intercontinental Airport, Captain A. J. High, from Texas International Airlines.

Saw PJ, saw Dr. Bill, Met Ric, met a lot of other folks, and I STRONGLY recommend this museum as a destination.
