I bought a new computer which came with Windows 7. For some reason MS dumped Outlook Express. I really don't like Outlook for an email application.

What is a good replacment for Outlook Express that will work with Windows 7?

Thanks

The replacement for Outlook Express is Microsoft Mail, which I believe you have to download for Windows 7 (unlike Vista, I don't believe it comes preinstalled).

Thunderbird is a good option, but the lack of a calendar makes me want to puke. You're better off with Microsoft Mail if you use the calendar.

Nick there is Mozilla Sunbird. I've used it for a little while, and it's pretty good...

I use google's calendar because of the Droid integration. The one thing that is driving me crazy is figuring out how to sync contacts on all the different places I do mail.

Does google mail support a personal LDAP service? Anybody use it?

Lightning is a calendar add-on for thunderbird that works pretty good.

Most of my clients use T-Bird and like it.

Me... I still use Eudora 7.1, which is no longer available... sigh...

I don't care for the open-source version of Eudora very much, I'm afraid. If I didn't still have my Eudora 7.1, I'd probably go with T-Bird.

Try Seamonkey. It it is an updated version of Netscape 7.2. It is brought to you by the same people that did Netscape(Mozilla Based). It was started after AOhell abandoned Netscape. It will be very familiar to Netscapers. It has an Email client similiar to Outlook Express, a Composer, along with some other goodies. Worth a looksee.

This drove me crazy until I found soocial.com. I even paid for the high end service because I wanted to include more accounts/contacts.

EDIT: You may also want to check out http://www.memotoo.com/ . It's more of a raw SyncML storage/integration/sync site that includes thinks like Facebook connectivity.
