I have my R3600 radial engine mounted and running, now I have to go through the fuselage. Someone has done a lot of work on this 8a, new hardware throughout, new tail spring, new tailwheel, new brakes, new bearings, completely refurbished pedal and yoke assemblies, and much more.
However, I have rudder pedal issues, specifically the pedals bind with the return springs. Does anyone have a photo of what the pedal/ spring assemblies should look like? Also, what are the stops for the elevator? Down elevator looks like it has an adjustment bolt stop, but there is no mark on the fuselage where a bolt head would be impacting, Up elevator is the sticks hitting the floor?

Plane is a 49 8A, metal wing.

I don’t know your answer but am curious how it went with the FAA trying to get it re-registered experimental exhibition? Also if you are a Facebook user there is a Luscombe specific group with a lot of really savvy Luscombe guys.

I'm an owner, but not an expert. Might ask over here: https://groups.io/g/Luscombe-Silvaire/

DAR I have used in the past has told me he can inspect and its not going to be a problem. I won't have it inspected until it is ready to fly. Lots of work to do before that.
