I believe you’re discussing my initial choice. I changed my initial plan after I read Dave’s post here and Ed’s on the Red Board pointing out the existence of V23, a standard route to BARET the IAF for both procedures. See post #27. I would do the procedure turn at BARET at 080. Either side would be safe there at 080. See this same thread over on the Red Board too.

You would need a GPS certified for terminal operations, a combination of a working NAV/LOC and DME or a combination of NDB and a working NAV. But I supect that receiving a signal from MZB at that spot is questionable at best and thus the minumum only if you can identify it.First item of business, which approach to fly? There's no point in the NDB or GPS 28R unless we can identify PALOS, given the weather.
