We're thinking of taking either the Bo or the Six (depending on which is available) to Florida for Spring break, but haven't found our accommodations. We have some good friends who will put us up but hate to impose. If anyone is aware of some good options, let me know. Just four of us, all adults, no pets.

Thanks!

Loren

This is a cute little resort on Sanibel, on the private residential side of the island, not the commercial busy side. My FiL owned it until about 2000. Looks like they're pretty booked up though depending on the week.

Will be tough to find good lodging anywhere on the beach, during spring break. You could try the pink shell on ft Myers.

Tween waters marina ,resort . Between sanibel and captiva islands .

I have enjoyed my stay at the Best Western on the River near Page Field. I have also enjoyed staying in the two Hampton Inns on I 75 near RSW. I stay in the cheaper one when looking up the available rooms.

The beach motels seem to be pretty popular the week you want to come.

Last time I read the reviews of the Best Western they weren't all positive but the price was right and it is nice on the river and near town.

Speaking of "fun" just for fun I checked availability of the Dolphin Inn for the dates listed in this post and found what I have been finding on the beach, only one of those nights is available for 4 adults.

FMY is a great airport and lots of cheap fuel in the area. I lived in the area for a while and family would stay at the Anchor inn on Sanibel. Nothing too fancy but it was affordable to stay there regardless of the season. Tween waters is very nice and probably 2-3 times the cost but worth it if you don't mind being further away from civilization (downtown, naples, bonita springs).

Fly into X01 and they have bikes to ride into town for fresh seafood! If you fly all the way from Minnesota you may as well go to key west too! Feel free to send me a PM with more questions on the area.

Family and I will be on Lanell Rd, Ft. Myers Beach the 15th-22nd of March... southern part of the island... plenty of condos for rent in that area. There's a Coldwell Banker real estate office in Santini Plaza, cr of Lanell and Estero Blvd that handles some rentals, but they might be a minimum of a month. Google a vacation rental website, you'll see plenty of offerings. The Holiday Inn is in the same area, right on the beach, food and drink and a CVS within walking distance. Southern part of the island is quieter than the north end, north end will be full of spring breakers. Trolley runs up and down the island, easy to get around. If you try to drive onto the island during spring break, the northern traffic can be pretty bad, 41 South to the bridge at Bonita Springs then north up Estero is often faster depending where you might be headed on the island.

We plan to do a day-trip to Key West sometime that week. I may pick your brain for other ideas. We've flown into Page Field before with good results.

Deja vu all over again. FMY - EYW is our favorite getaway trip while we're in FL. If you need any ideas on what to see or where to eat in KW, PM me. I'd highly recommend more than a day trip!
