Our "new to us" Piper Dakota is coming up on it's first annual since I bought it last year so I'm looking for any feedback or recommendations of a good FBO/A&P that knows/works on Pipers. Any experience with...

1. Spring City Aviation - KUES
2. GranAire - KMWC
3. PlaneSafe - KUES

Would greatly appreciate any sharing of experience w/ any of the above. If you prefer not to post publicly please PM me as I would love to hear any good or bad.

Thanks!

Gran-Aire is excellent. While I mainly use them because I'm based at MWC, they do excellent work and have lots of experience individually and as a group. No rookie mechanics here, and Gary is an excellent communicator.

If you don't mind flying somewhere to save some bucks, Troy and Mike at Airworthy Aviation at SBM are worth the trip as well. Reasonable prices, excellent work, and your plane will be spotless when you get it back.

I don't have any experience with the shops at KUES, though the Mooney is visiting Skycom right now...

Thanks Kent. My short experience w/ Gary while I had the plane at MWC was very good and you're right he is a great communicator. Just trying to get a sense of my options and GranAire is one of them. My main concern w/ them is how much expertise they have on Pipers as they are a Cessna shop. I'll add Airworthy to the list.

BTW - My plane is at Skycom right now as well. Adding a GDL88, FS210 and some other misc avionics work as I type. I'll probably see your Mooney when I stop in this week.
