Lets fit all pax with tasers before boarding - DHS

Hey, Grant. I'm just linking from the vendors website. What ever they got from DHS is what they got. maybe it was sent to them from some airhead, but maybe not. I didn't ask Lamperd.

Here's another thread to the same idea. BTW if you're expecting good grammar from the folks at DHS, well I think you're gonna be disappointed regularly. Paul S. Ruwaldt was the guy in comm with Lamperd.

This has to be a joke. Seriously. I love the part about arming the FAs with the laser pointer.

Should something like this ever come to pass, well, I can't imagine what else would have come to pass to lead to it.

If it's a joke, eveyone is in on it.

Shakes head... I really got to work on the "No travel in personal aircraft" policy.

I have tired to find proof this is a gag. But other than the Washington Times being involved I cannot find anything to show it is false. In fact I keep finding things that lend credence to the story. I am remain skeptical.

It wouldn't surprise me if it's true... there is a disturbing similar precedent.

http://www.boston.com/news/educatio...6/15/ny_report_denounces_shock_use_at_school/

The kids are monitored remotely at all times, and the monitors can trigger the shocks remotely. Parents of some of the frequently-violent kids have applauded it, but of course it promotes the philosophy of zapping them just to "improve their attitude" or whatever.

Even with mentally retarded people, obedience without some understanding and choice does not equal morality, IMHO. This goes way beyond slapping a baby's hand away from a hot stove...

And the logical extension of this- involuntary implants, perhaps, for all kids (and eventually adults), so they can be tracked at all times and brought to heel with the push of a button... shudder.

Missa,

Are you talking about work? Don't you work for a certain manufacturer that makes engines pretty much exclusively for "personal aircraft"? Do they really have that policy? If so, they must be suffering from a severe recto-cranial inversion!

Wasn't there a Star Trek: TNG episode once where one of these devices was used as a torture device?
