I can think of a few aviation related topics that this nor any other aviation related board will never come to a consensus on, so that got me wondering how many could I name?
The challenge to the rest of you is to name a few others.

  • Best Headset - David Clark, Bose, Lightspeed, Sigtronics, Telex, Sennheiser.
  • Composite, Cloth or Aluminum aircraft
  • High Wing, Low Wing or Bi-plane
  • iPad or Tablet for inflight use
  • Tricycle Gear or Tail-dragger
  • Prop or Jet
  • Best Trainer Aircraft - Cessna or Piper
  • Best Airshow
  • Yoke, side stick or center stick
  • Best State for avaition

I hopefully have opened the proverbial can of worms...

Planes don't seem to fly any differently to me when crossing political boundaries
Retract

As long as. Everyone agrees with that, I'm good.

how about 10 day IFR training versus maybe 3 times a week with a local instructor.

or a 2 day Seaplane rating versus getting together with another "local" instructor.

Steam gauges versus Glass Cockpit

Class 3 medical or drivers license?

Twins vs singles!

Less filling, or tastes great?

interesting how everyone loved the mud wrestling chicks arguing about that subject! I understand that the ads were pulled because no one bought that beer after watching!

Reverse HighSpeed exit.

There's only one thing all pilots agree on: Flying is too cheap.

What's the debate there?

I can believe it's not butter.

Not so hard

Oh and... Why do hot dogs come in packs of 10 but buns come in eights?

You taught me something, today...

Only one wasted bun, instead of two fewer buns than you need.

And you still just paid an extra dollar for fewer hotdogs... and they don't even have rat crap in them!
Ripoff in my opinion.

One to add: AOPA/EAA/Neither

Recently I got addicted to Hebrew National hot dogs.... The large dogs are 4 to a pack and have been on sale here for months... Buns are 8 to a pack so two packs of dogs use up all the buns.... Yummy..........

ps.. yeah, I know they are more expensive.... but they are far better then any other hotdog... IMHO

Alas, my once favorite supermarket brand, Hebrew National hot dogs have done the unthinkable. They have changed the recipe, and I am once again, a man without a hot dog. Their slogan is "We answer to a higher power." Apparently, that higher power is the bottom line. Back to ordering Vienna beef franks online.

If I'm at the yoke, stick or sidestick - or even running outside to see what's flying over, for that matter - I don't care if it's aluminum, carbon fiber or spruce and Irish linen. They're all great!

As for headsets: Quiet Technologies Halo. Even outdoes the Bose A20.
